I would have said I was his best friend, but Johnny’s wife always seemed to have a strong preference for the bigger stars and was really pushing Eddie on Johnny. In any case, we were playing truth or dare, and it was getting late. Eventually, Johnny and his wife went to bed, and the rest of us stayed up real late as things got weirder and weirder. I don’t drink, but Eddie and Nick certainly did. Around 4 a.m., things finally exploded, with Nick throwing one of Johnny Ramone’s giant taxidermy animals into the swimming pool. Nick was too drunk to drive home, and he was yelling. Johnny was wearing pajamas. Somehow I ended up responsible for driving Nick’s 1973 Porsche 911 RS out of Johnny’s driveway and back to my house, where I kept it until the next day. Within 24 hours of driving that incredible car, I bought my own 1973 911 RS in Light Yellow. It’s in The Brown Bunny for a few seconds. Two months later, after selling my two Lamborghini Espadas, I bought another 73 RS in Brown. Eventually, I moved on to Ferrari and began a long journey of buying and driving several new Ferraris. In 2017, I woke up one Sunday morning and realized I could no longer live in Los Angeles for another day. That night, I picked out a beautiful Rick Joy-designed house in Tucson, Arizona and purchased it. At first, I brought a few Ferraris with me to Tucson, but without a Ferrari dealership in town, owning a Ferrari became less enjoyable. So I decided to buy another Porsche. Porsche of Tucson is a great dealership. The sales managers, Efraim and Samantha, have always treated me well, and Samantha Bell is, without question, the coolest woman I have ever met inside a car dealership. But the real star of Porsche of Tucson is Andrew Stevens. As I said, I love the Porsche brand, but the reason I own and drive a Porsche is Andrew Stevens. He makes buying and owning a Porsche fun and easy. There is no better ambassador for the Porsche brand than Andrew. Porsche executives should thank their lucky stars that he is representing their brand. Hopefully, the Chapman dealership owners also appreciate what they have in him as much as I do. And one final footnote: There was one creep in the service department who was the only weak link in an otherwise perfect dealership. Thankfully, he left and was replaced by a superstar named Reed. Porsche cars are only part of the story. The people who sell them and service them make a difference.

Got a new key

Courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt are words that come to mind concerning the Tucson Porsche service department. The word “inexpensive” does not come to mind, but the best never is. Recently my Macan S was in for wheel refinishing and I was given a new Macan courtesy car. You won’t get that extra touch at the cheaper competitors.

I emailed about a classic BMW they had on site and Dylan replied via email almost immediately to set up a call. During the call and subsequent texts I probably asked Dylan 50+ questions, all of which he replied to promptly with information I requested. He provided a walk around video, a video of the undercarriage on a lift, a video of the soft-top top operating and a ton of photos. The old BMW I was buying was fractions of the average 911 value and I felt like I was getting VIP-level service. The remote purchase process was seamless and quick. Dylan coordinated the enclosed shipping as well. It was only 9 days from signing, to the car being in my driveway halfway across the country. Very happy with the entire process! Overall wonderful experience with Dylan and Porsche Tucson.

As expected from a top-tier German automaker, the Porsche experience has been largely excellent. It has been a year since our purchase, and the initial process from the trade-in to the final paperwork was incredibly fluid. Our representative, Andrew, was outstanding; he even went the extra mile to help us get the car on the track so we could fully enjoy its capabilities. I am giving four stars because the service department has been a bit of a hurdle. We’ve had instances where they attempted to charge for items already covered under our warranties. There is a lack of transparency regarding upfront costs unless you specifically ask. If the service communication matched the sales experience, it would easily be five stars.

Porsche Tucson has been treating me right for years! I moved to Tucson with one Porsche, and since have purchased another from Chapman. They service both and not only do they do a perfect job every time, I actually look forward to going over there since everyone is so nice. And - their lobby just got remodeled (September 2025) so now you really don’t even want to leave. (Great chairs and lounge vibe, stocked kitchen of snacks and espresso) Jordan in service is the best service tech I’ve ever had, across over 4 Porsche dealerships I’ve worked with over the years as I have moved around the country. On point, diligent, and extremely knowledgeable - having her as my advisor is what I love the most. If you need a new Porsche (you do) or just service on the one you already have - Chapman Porsche Tucson is the right choice.

Selection, price, value, trade in were all great and what I was looking for, but the people there made it happen. Andrew was outstanding. He listened, found solutions and followed through with every detail and concern. He put the deal together thoroughly, clearly, quickly and I could not be happier. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Efraim, the sales manager. He was knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. Overall I am impressed with staff - they clearly work well together. And bottom line, I came away with an awesome new car.

The service on my 2010 Cayman was exceptional, detailed and performed after notifying me of the diagnostic results. I picked up the car and all was well again, with new plugs and coils, I left completely satisfied!

Andrew was above and beyond, as I came to see a moire expensive vehicle, but Andrew listened and suggested a few additional cars that had fewer options, but fit our needs better. The entire team did a fantastic job and for a Phoenix customer; I'm sold on Porsche Tucson.

Porsche Tucson is great. Incredibly accommodating with scheduling, quality work, friendly and knowledgable staff, and a great coffee machine in their waiting room. They even arranged an Uber for me. Wonderful services.
