Description

Porsche Tucson is proud to offer this rare and uniquely modified 1972 911T.Originally finished in Light Yellow (062) over Black Leatherette according to the CoA. It has since undergone a full restoration including ditching the 2.4L air cooled Type 911/51 flat six engine for a much more powerful higher revving 3.2L Type 930/21 engine from a 1985 911 Carrera. The swap reportedly was performed in 1997 and 40k miles have been added since then but no documentation is available. From 2005-2014 this vehicle had major maintenance items rebuilt or replaced. Including a transmission rebuild including all gears synchros bushings and gaskets as well as a new clutch and flywheel with a Wevo short shifter Carrera RS doors as well as installation of a Porsche OEM Limited Slip Differential. Other more recent items include new fuel lines a valve adjustment as well as the valve cover and intake manifold gaskets injectors sent off and cleaned as well as This car has been extensively modified for performance with new front Elephant Racing struts with Bilstein strut tubes rear shocks front Zimmerman drilled and ventilated brake rotors with Hawk brake pads a fully built roll cage a Momo Prototipo steering wheel with collapsible hub and a full exhaust. This particular 911T appears to be an homage to the Porsche 917 arguably Porsche’s most revolutionary and groundbreaking racing car as it won Porsche’s first victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970 and subsequently being retired after only two years. The ignition key has holes drilled into it and the door handles have been replaced with leather straps just as the 917 had. 1972 was also the only year the 911 had an auxiliary filler cap for motor oil located on the rear passenger fender. Once you get behind the wheel you can feel the ease of drive and performance this vehicle was designed to produce! Call today!
